SOAR/SCS Fall Musical Information: Matilda, Jr.
Dear Families,

We are very excited that your child is interested in performing in the upcoming fall musical, Matilda, Jr.!
​
The musical will be open to students in grades 4-8. Auditions will be held on Thursday, August 29th and Tuesday, September 3rd from 3:15-5:15. It is not necessary to prepare anything for the auditions; however, listening to the attached audio will set them up for success. Auditions can often make children very nervous. You can let your child know that we will be making the experience as fun and stress-free as possible.

Being in the musical is a FULL time commitment and your child must be able to participate in ALL rehearsals unless there are extenuating circumstances such as illness. We also cannot accommodate early pick-ups from rehearsals for athletic practices or other after school activities. If you have any concerns about your child’s ability to participate fully in the musical, please reach out to Lauren Brown at SOAR (soarenrichment@gmail.com). The cast list will be announced via email on or before Thursday, September 5th. To accept the role and fully commit to the musical, families will need to fill out the contract included with the cast list no later than Saturday, September 7th at 9:00am. You can see the example of the contract here.

This form must be filled out and returned no later than Wednesday, August 28th at 5:00pm. No child will be able to audition without this form. No exceptions!
